Tan Hill is possibly Bike Ride-Out and the Car Rally capital of the North. With an event almost every week of the year and almost every day in the summer. THE 1732 MOTORBIKE CLUB AT THE TAN HILL INN
Founded in September 2006, the 1732 Motorbike Club (named after the altitude in feet above sea level that the Inn stands at) is possibly not only the highest motorbike club and venue in Great Britain, but probably the most remote too.
This of course gives us several advantages over a town or city centre location. We don't have any neighbours to 'allegedly' annoy, we have acres of room to park, display and view bikes outside the Inn, we have a barn-function room for club meets and functions.... and we're all motorbike riders too! All in all, an exceptional meet location and facilities.
Membership packs will be available soon for the 1732 Club. This will include a welcome brochure, t-shirt, helmet/bike stickers and membership card. Privileges will include discounted food on bike meets and ride-outs from Tan Hill, advanced information about events and rallies at Tan Hill, free admission to all club events.... and of course the prestige of belonging to the highest motorbike club in Great Britain.

WHAT DOES THE TAN HILL INN HAVE FOR YOU?
We are located on the northern tip of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The drive here, whichever route you choose will take your breath away! Stunning scenery, quaint villages and best of all some of the finest roads you will ever drive on in the country. The Beamish Classic Endurance Rally, many local and national Motorbike Clubs/Societies and Outdoor Clubs and Societies (look where we are, we have to be 'outdoor' fanatics!) already host their events at Tan Hill Inn every year. We have the venue and the experience to ensure that you and your guests will enjoy the 'Tan Hill Experience' from start to finish. We can arrange as much or as little as you like prior to your event. We really look after our guests and try to give each one their own unique experience of Tan Hill to take away with them.

WHAT FACILITIES DO WE HAVE TO OFFER YOU?
Tan Hill Inn is not only the highest public house in Great Britain, it also has seven en-suite rooms and a self-contained holiday flat, a rustic barn function room that can hold up to 150 people, and home-cooked food and special menus available at special rates for club bookings. In addtion, we have house bands to cater for every taste and genre of music available for hire, plus disco and karaoke facilities available for hire. Our world famous Bar serves cask-conditioned ales from Theakstons and Black Sheep, as well as an extensive range of premium lagers, spirits and wine. If you have a large party, we can accommodate you in the barn (simply bring your own sleeping bag and pillow!). Bunk Barn facilities are planned. Ample car-parking space for dozens of cars, bikes, camper-vans and caravans. Camping available next to the Inn with toilet and sink facilities. Digital TV, Wireless Broadband Internet, PC, DVD and multimedia presentation broadcasting services through our TV network or widescreen projector. Buffets, Bar Meals, BBQs and Banquets available.
WHERE ARE WE?
Tan Hill Inn is a 13 mile 40 minute drive or 25 minute ride from Hawes in Wensleydale via the Buttertubs Pass and Silver Hill in Swaledale. The A66 from Penrith to Scotch Corner is a 20 minute drive over 'Penguin Pass' from the north. Richmond to the east and just off the A1 is 22 miles away up Swaledale and Arkengarthdale via picturesque Reeth village. Kirkby Stephen is on route from the Lake District to the west and less than 10 miles away. Whichever route you take, you will enjoy the experience of unspoilt natural scenery, superb mountain pass and dales valley roads combining to create the 'perfect drive'.
